Embracing Gratitude for the Vendors Who Supply Our Fruits and Vegetables
A Gratitude Journal Entry
Dear Duniyawaalo (People of the World),
Today on this wonderful morning as I am cooking my breakfast, I am eternally grateful to the unsung heroes who provide the convenience and accessibility of healthy foods that enriches my life and the lives of everyone else. Having fresh produce readily available is a true blessing.
In our fast paced world where most go for processed and convenience foods, it is easy to take for granted an army of people who work tirelessly to ensure that I have easy access to such vibrant and colorful vegetables and fruits that are so important for the vitamins and minerals that my body needs to thrive and function at its best.
From Apples and Watermelons to leafy greens, tomatoes and onions, these fresh and high-quality produce are the cornerstone of my healthy and balanced diet. I am truly grateful to all the hard work and dedication that goes into bringing them from farms to my local stores, and eventually to my home to grace my table.
Access to healthy food has empowered me to pursue a healthy lifestyle and prepare home cooked meals that suits my taste, preferences and nutritional needs. All this would not have been possible if it was not for the proximity of grocery stores that saves me time and energy that would have otherwise been spent on searching for nutritious options.
Cooking for me has become a stress busting activity, and easy access to diverse fresh produce inspires me to be creative in the kitchen. It has allowed me to try out new flavorful recipes while still ensuring that my body is properly nourished with wholesome ingredients.
As I started to become more conscious of my health I realized that, in addition to my exercise, developing a clean eating habit has improved my physical, mental and cognitive wellbeing.
All the tireless efforts that the fresh produce vendors put into growing, harvesting and delivering food to me make it possible for me to live a healthy and fulfilling life. It serves as a constant reminder to me of just how interconnected we are with each other as human beings.
