A Gratitude Journal Entry
Dear Duniyawaalo (People of the World),
Today on this awesome morning as I am cooking my breakfast, I am grateful for the magical gift of two functioning hands and the numerous ways they have served me by being an indispensable ally on my journey through life’s ups and downs.
My hands are essential tools that have enabled me to interact with the world around me and accomplish a wide variety of tasks. For me personally, this has meant the ability to code and build innovative products, thanks to my mind and the dexterity and precision of my fingers. This intricate mind and hand coordination has allowed me to hone my skills to build solutions that improve people’s lives.
My hands have provided me with ways and means to indulge in hobbies and activities that relax me and bring me joy. One such activity is cooking. The mindful experience of working with ingredients, chopping vegetables, marinating meat has become a stress-relieving ritual that truly nourishes my body and soul. The sensory pleasure that I derive when preparing food from scratch is unparalleled.
My hands have blessed me with the capacity to wield immense power and energy to convey emotion and build connection with others. I am able to communicate empathy, affection and provide comfort through simple gestures such as holding someone’s hand who is going through a difficult time, wiping away tears, patting someone on the back, extending my arms for a warm hug, or even helping a stranger in need. My hands have played an invaluable role in building and maintaining relationships that transcend the limitation of language, thereby bridging the connection gaps between my fellow beings.
I am eternally grateful that because of my hands I am able to create, build and express myself. From practical tasks and creative pursuits to emotional expression and human connection, my hands are always there for me. They have truly enabled me to experience life to its full potential, serving as a constant reminder of the remarkable power they hold and all the blessings they bring.
