Dear Duniyawaalo (People of the World),
Today on this wonderful morning as I am sipping my tea, I am grateful that I live in Chicago where I get to experience the full range of seasonal shifts happening in nature, bringing joy into my life every single day. Experiencing the beauty and wonder of nature’s transformations has taught me invaluable lessons about impermanence and embracing change as it comes.
Even though there have been times when the extreme elements of each season has tested my resilience, nonetheless there is no denying that there is a unique charm and allure to each and every season.
Spring with its pleasant temperatures and breathtaking vibrant colors provides a sense of renewal that inspires me to take action and begin planning and execution on my goals for the year.
Summer with its blazing sun and days filled with energy gives me the opportunity for soaking up the sun and enjoying outdoor activities with friends and loved ones. It also inspires me to appreciate the little details around me that I might have forgotten or overlooked during the colder months.
Fall season captivates me with the changing color of the leaves that brings a sense of calm and tranquility. It also brings in the cool air and a sense of nostalgia that serves as a reminder of the past and the present, and that nothing lasts forever.
Chills of the winter blanketing the city in a layer of sparkling snow has taught me to stay grounded, slow down and appreciate the quiet beauty of my surroundings. Winters can be tough, however feeling cozy staying indoors and going through it all together, inspires me to embrace resilience and strength that will carry me through until the warmth of spring returns again.
Every year with each passing season that brings in a new set of colors, smells, and sensations, I am committed to heeding to the wisdom and insights that each season has bestowed upon me. It has allowed me to be more mindful and embrace the inevitability of change in my life.
